Terms of Service
The agreement between you (or the agency you represent) and datavessel.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using datavessel ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
Description of Service
datavessel is an operations center for businesses that run one or more e-commerce stores, including agencies and operators that run stores on behalf of clients. The Service lets you connect stores (Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware) and related sources (advertising, analytics, support, messaging), define policies that run deterministic actions when store events or schedules fire, deploy AI agents that propose or perform actions within those policies, review proposed actions in a sign-off inbox (web and mobile), and keep a ledger of every action taken.
Automated actions and sign-off
You decide, per policy step and per store, whether an action requires your approval ("ask") or may run without it ("autopilot"). Actions you approve, and actions taken under a policy or autopilot setting you enabled, are performed on your instruction and on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing proposed actions before approving them and for the configuration of your policies. The ledger is the record of what was performed and who approved it.
Agencies and client stores
If you connect a store or source that belongs to a client or another business, you represent that you are authorised by that business to connect it and to act on it through the Service, and you are responsible to that business for the actions taken. Each connected store is a separate scope in the Service; policies, agents and ledger entries belong to one store.
User Accounts
Account Creation
To use our service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- 01Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- 02All activities that occur under your account
- 03Providing accurate and complete information
- 04Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately.
Data Sources and Privacy
datavessel connects to store platforms, Google and other third-party APIs on your behalf. We read and, where you have authorised it, write to those services; an LLM under your own API key reasons over the data an agent step needs. All of this happens only through API connections that you authorise, and only within the store each policy or agent is scoped to.
We do not share your data with third parties beyond the sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy. Pseudonymised operational signals (such as whether a proposed action was approved or denied) may be used to improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy; you may opt out at any time. Your prompts, policies and ledger are never disclosed to other customers.
- You maintain full control over your data connections and permissions
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect each store and data source, including those belonging to your clients
- We comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations
Billing and Payment
Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) Model
datavessel operates on a BYOK model. You provide your own LLM API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) and pay your AI provider directly. We do not resell or mark up AI usage. Our subscription fees cover the platform only: stores, policies, agents, the sign-off inbox, the ledger and support.
Plans and limits
Plans are differentiated by the number of stores you may connect. Fair-use limits on scheduled agents and daily agent runs exist to protect the platform and are set above normal usage; we will contact you before enforcing them. Current plans, limits and pricing are listed on our pricing page and in your account. We may update the plan structure from time to time; any material change will be communicated in advance as described below.
Billing through Shopify
If you installed datavessel from the Shopify App Store, your subscription is billed by Shopify under Shopify's billing terms and appears on your Shopify invoice; plan changes and cancellation are made in your Shopify admin. All other accounts are billed by card through our payment processor.
Subscription Fees
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees for your selected plan
- Automatic billing on your payment method
- No refunds for partial months or unused services
- Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance
- You are responsible for any charges from your LLM provider
- Free trials convert to the Free plan, not to a paid plan, unless you subscribe
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to:
Intellectual Property
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of datavessel and its licensors. The service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall datavessel be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service, including actions performed on a store under a policy, autopilot setting or approval you configured or gave.
